Architetto laureato nel 1990 allo IUAV di Venezia dove ha svolto attività didattica e di ricerca, è Dottore di Ricerca. Ha svolto la propria attività professionale a Venezia, Berlino e Pesaro occupandosi di incarichi pubblici.
"Dal 2018 mi dedico a tempo pieno alla realizzazione e alla ricerca figurativa legata al gioiello. Ciascun gioiello Lunante è interpretato come una costante trascrizione e rilettura semantica delle forme e dei concetti del vissuto quotidiano. La geometria è usata come un metalinguaggio a volte serio a volte divertito, intelligente o sciocco, come sarebbe bello fossero le vite di tutti gli esseri umani."
Tra Antico e Moderno
Il Niello è una lega nota fin dall’antichità e usata come riempimento dell’incisione a bulino.
I gioielli di questa ricerca ribaltano questa antica tecnica esaltando le proprietà materiche del Niello ora inciso per far emergere la luminosità del metallo o come nuda terra primordiale, ora pronta ad accogliere i colori del nostro mondo. La ricerca di un linguaggio tecnico-espressivo contemporaneo realizzato partendo da una tecnica tradizionale, mette in luce la ricorrente dicotomia tra ciò che è antico e ciò che è moderno.

Gambarelli is an architect, graduated in 1990 from the IUAV University of Venice, where he taught and conducted research. He holds a PhD. He has worked in Venice, Berlin, and Pesaro, undertaking public commissions.
"Since 2018, I have dedicated myself full-time to the creation and figurative research of jewelry. Each Lunante piece is interpreted as a constant transcription and semantic reinterpretation of the forms and concepts of everyday life. Geometry is used as a metalanguage, sometimes serious, sometimes playful, intelligent, or silly, as all human lives would be beautiful."
Between Ancient and Modern
Niello is an alloy known since ancient times and used as a filler for burin engraving.
The jewelry resulting from this research overturns this ancient technique, enhancing the material properties of Niello, sometimes engraved to bring out the brilliance of the metal, sometimes like a bare primordial earth, ready to embrace the colors of our world.
The search for a contemporary technical-expressive language based on a traditional technique highlights the recurring dichotomy between the ancient and the modern.
