Statement

I am drawn to the rhythm, the tenacity, and the synchronicity of a craft as vital as ours. We imbue our works with the power to communicate through symbolic language itself—a communicative language that embraces creator, bearer, and spectator simultaneously.

Our relationship to the industrial object is functional; with work of art, it is semi religious; to handicraft, it is corporeal. It is really not a relationship, but a contact. (Octavio Paz, Craft, The use and contemplation.)
