Mariagiorgia Pacini
Up&Down, 2025
Short CV
Mariagiorgia Pacini was born in Padua and developed a deep passion for art, metal, and experimentation since a young age. She attended the Pietro Selvatico Art Institute, a place that shaped her education and would forever remain a part of her journey, not only as a student but also as a teacher. There, she was lucky enough to be guided by outstanding teachers such as Annamaria Zanella and Maria Rosa Franzin, key figures in her artistic and conceptual development.
After graduating, she continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, focusing on set design and photography, broadening her expressive language and refining her approach to visual storytelling. However, it is in the world of contemporary goldsmithing that she finds her natural niche: a place of experimentation between material and concept, where jewellery becomes much more than an ornament, transforming into a vehicle for profound messages and reflections on memory, identity, and social commentary.
Mariagiorgia currently teaches at the Pietro Selvatico Art School, where beyond teaching goldsmithing techniques, she transfer a broader vision of art as a tool for communication and testimony to her students. In addition to teaching, she continues her artistic career, taking part in exhibitions and developing new reserach jewellery collections.
