Letizia Maggio lives and works in the North-East of Italy and her background includes, apart from a Master’s degree in English literature, a qualified training in ceramics as well as non academic studies in metalsmithing.
Her works have been exhibited in museums and galleries in Italy and abroad.
In her practice she likes to explore a variety of media and thus the possible interpretations of different materials, mainly seeking for unexpected aesthetics.
The aim of Maggio's work is to establish a connection, to activate a two-way communication with the viewer/wearer and to set the meaning of ‘preciousness’ in accordance with her own value system.
