Fragments of the Present

Contemporary Art Exhibition

June 15 – August 30, 2025

Spazio21 – Milan

Milan, May 20, 2025 – Spazio21 is pleased to present Fragments of the Present, a new group exhibition showcasing the work of twelve Italian and international artists engaged in redefining the language of contemporary visual art.

Through installations, video art, painting, sculpture, and digital media, Fragments of the Present explores the notion of fragmentation as a metaphor for the current human condition: fluid identities, hybrid realities, partial memories, and disjointed digital connections. Each work functions as both an autonomous element and a node within a larger mosaic, in which the everyday is deconstructed, observed, and reassembled from new perspectives.

Participating artists include:

Marco Ferrari (Italy), presenting a series of glitch-style portraits on canvas;

Lily Clark (UK), whose light-based installations react in real time to the viewer’s movements;

Mia Brown (USA), with a painting series exploring the body as an emotional archive.

The exhibition is curated by Luca Benedetti, art critic and independent curator, known for his interdisciplinary approach and commitment to emerging artistic languages.

«In an age where experience is increasingly mediated and fragmented – says Benedetti – art offers a space to gather the pieces and look at them with renewed attention. It’s not about seeking a lost unity, but rather embracing the complexity of contemporary life.»
